Is a towel radiator mandatory?

Ok, with an extra oven that works out, depending on what temperature you usually have. Don’t you have room thermostats, that it got too warm for you???

Hello , the topic of room thermostats has already been discussed very often here in the forum. If you have a heat pump, you should keep your flow temperature as low as possible to heat energy-efficiently. You can control this through your desired set temperature and the heating curve. A higher flow temperature and limiting it via the room thermostats is not sensible. We are currently at an outside temperature of 0 degrees with a flow temperature of 29 degrees. However, this is probably also because we currently ventilate 2-3 times a day without a ventilation system. Room temperature throughout the house is around 22 degrees (also in the bathroom). We have only used the towel radiator so far for testing. Usage is probably also sensible during the transitional period (then the heating function of the air-water heat pump can possibly be switched off a little earlier).

:

has already explained it very accurately.

Our installer recommended that we turn up the room thermostats to the maximum in the rooms where we want it warmest (bathroom and guest bathroom) and regulate the desired temperature there using the flow temperature.

In the other rooms, the regulation is then done via the room thermostats.

He said this type of regulation is sensible because the air-water heat pump only produces the maximum required flow temperature and delivers it "unrestricted" to the rooms where such warmth is desired.

If you also regulate these rooms with the room thermostats, the air-water heat pump (quote) "runs unnecessarily in its own juice" and produces more heat (and costs) than necessary, since even the warmest rooms are partially "choked off."

Regards,

Dirk

It is already clear that the flow temperature should be as low as possible. However, since I also know apartments without thermostats, I wanted to ask, as it sounded like that. I also tried for a long time until I ended up with 30° flow @ 0° outside temperature and a corresponding slope. However, we also have about 24° in the living room and no fireplace or anything like that. The heating then usually runs, only if the window is not opened for a longer time or cooking is not done does the thermostat sometimes switch off, but I estimate the heating runs more than 80% of the time, so not too hot, I would say...

We currently have a room temperature of 22.5° at -4 degrees AT and a flow temperature of 31°!

My question now is, I have set our granny flat to 18° room temperature because it is still a shell construction. Would it be better to adjust the temperature or how should I proceed?
It has its own [Wgt!] but is connected to the shared air-water heat pump.

What would be the correct procedure to avoid wasting energy unnecessarily?
