Is a rotated base cabinet better in Ikea Metod?

Hello I want to install a base cabinet rotated in my kitchen so that it is accessible from the front. With Faktum a 60 cm base cabinet with a side panel is slightly wider than the depth of a 60 cm base cabinet, see picture. With Metod I was surprised to find that the base cabinets are a bit deeper and at least according to the kitchen planner the width including the side panel and the depth are the same, see picture. I assume that if the rotated base cabinet has a door and the hinge is on the side opposite the wall, then I don’t need a filler strip between the wall and the base cabinet, right? I know we have to wait until Metod is available, but as it looks at least in the planner, I should be able to place a rotated 60 cm base cabinet exactly next to another 60 cm base cabinet with Metod, or does anyone have further concerns? Well, if the corpus dimension is the same but the total depth with Metod is slightly greater than with Faktum due to the mounting rail, then the representation of the Metod online planner could be correct. I assume it should still be possible to screw the rotated base cabinet to the kitchen wall if it has no legs at the back. Regards Section Chief

Without the cover strip the door will open, but if it is not hinged towards the wall, it might be annoying if the open door is in the way.

With [METOD] you will also be able to put four legs under the cabinet. This is necessary especially for an island.

That is possible. Ultimately, it depends on how the cabinet is used.
