Yes, and in Versailles they would be too plain. There are unsuitable places for everything.

But here in Armeleutebungaliw they fit like a glove on a bucket. It would just be an idea to cheaply and quickly disguise the knobbly ceiling edge from TE's mural. Off to Knutzen, bought a box of 10 pieces for a few euros, some glue or Sille, and voilà, done.

The trim also fits in the poor people's Bauhaus houses that are constantly discussed here.
It's always great when "time-tested" craftsmanship tricks are disparaged just because someone has no idea.

Is it just me or are you always this grumpy?
It reminds me a bit of people who walk around all day at work with a sour face but still keep showing up. As if they were being forced

But be that as it may, I don't understand your "expertise". No, such a decorative strip simply doesn't visually fit into the modern, angular, anthracite-accented building that you call an ArmeLeute Bauhaus. At best, you can only make it look good as a stylistic break.

Not at all I am extremely calm and therefore question many things, especially the pub talk slogans The better my mood, the more critically I question. Trim strips ... by now it was probably about corner trims (there are right-angled ones too) fit just as well into the look as the curved staircase. The external appearance of my quoted poor people’s Bauhaus-style houses, by the way taken from the quote by #20, are by no means Bauhauses where you can be eccentric.

Comes across completely different to me. But now I know how I have to interpret that.
