3 individual devices from the hardware store, one of which is now broken after 15 years. It will be replaced by an inverter system from Panasonic

[A QUOTE="hampshire, post: 503629, member: 46205"] A fan directed at a chair with a damp towel provides cooling very quickly, effectively, and quite inexpensively. The evaporation helps. [/QUOTE]

And if it's also a beautiful Chippendale chair or lounge furniture combined with a Gucci towel, the eye benefits from it too ;)

Don’t you need any pipes for condensate or exhaust/supply air?

I actually want a floor heating system that can also cool a few degrees. But I already notice that this threatens the KW40 standard, and for that reason the house manufacturer is being difficult. In other words: I want to start preparing a second network with your help (in the double sense). Even if the seller keeps insisting that we don’t need something like that because of the existing shading. I think the large windows on the south side will at best be balanced out by this. Outside, there is no shading from other buildings or vegetation. If the air doesn’t cool to around 20°C at night anymore, that won’t be enough. The towel proposal is of course also interesting, but if that’s not enough, you get annoyed that you didn’t install ducts when you still could.

But certainly not a disaster. It is done thousands of times every day. The air conditioning industry is more alive than ever since the Energy Saving Ordinance.

You need two insulated copper pipes of the appropriate diameter from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit (connections and mixed forms are also possible). Then for each indoor<>outdoor unit, power/control lines and a condensate drain at each indoor unit.

That’s exactly where the underfloor heating also brings those few degrees. At the floor. But usually you don't lie on it but sit on a chair/sofa or lie in bed. Here the temperature is then completely different again and you no longer notice those few degrees at the floor. In addition, there is the humidity, which cannot be removed by underfloor heating and basically you have gained nothing with the highly praised cooling via underfloor heating. If it means more than a 200-300 euro surcharge, you can skip the addition.

In other words, you build a modern house and need an air conditioning system. (Experience values).

So I wouldn't quite believe the "not necessary" claim. Good insulation blocks a lot, and when it gets really hot, it takes a while for the heat to reach inside. During the day, we also shade the entire house, have KFW 55 standard, run the ventilation system at night with the bypass open at high speed, and create cross-ventilation throughout the house early in the morning. Still, during extended heat periods, it heats up eventually, and there are also times when it stays well over 20 degrees at night. A кондиционер is great in these cases, and with relatively low power, you can cool everything quite well.

My experience is that it’s better to run the system all day on a very low setting to prevent walls and furniture from heating up. Then the coolness lasts all night, even when the кондиционер is off.

In how many rooms do you have an indoor unit? I’m considering where a preparation might make sense and whether the controlled residential ventilation system might also somewhat distribute the cool air?
