Install shower partition wall afterwards

Hello dear ones,

we are currently building and are almost finished. Unfortunately, it occurred to us late that we still want partition walls in the showers. Our construction manager said it is too late for that and you can't install something like that afterward because the bathroom has been tiled and otherwise the waterproofing would not hold properly. I am a layperson and wanted to ask if that is correct. We do not want glass enclosures. Thank you very much

In theory, it is possible, but it gets expensive because the effort is great and part of the floor needs to be rebuilt if you really want it to be tight.

The statement from the contractor is nonsense, otherwise there would be no retrofit solutions either. He just has no desire or time for it. Just don't expect it to be a cheap solution. We had shower partitions made by a glazier in our terraced house and had 0 problems in 18 years. He was cheaper than a sanitary technician. Consider commissioning the partitions yourself.

What material did you have it made from? May I ask how much more you paid?

Metal stops, a partition, and a door with a rubber lip at the bottom made of glass. Very simple. We drilled through the tiles for the stops and sealed them. Gluing would be another alternative, which I have not explored further.
