49 watt deficit means that at design temperature 49W too little heating power is available. By the way, a tealight produces about 30 watts when it burns. So if it gets too cold in the dead of winter, just put two tealights on the edge of the tub :-)

Yeah, that's true. That would also be an option. Although I would only do that if I already had some kind of smart home system in use anyway.

The fact that the device also has a switch on it is totally unimaginable? Admittedly, I didn’t check that on the device, but I consider it quite likely that you can find such.

There are plenty of devices that also HAVE switches
