Induction cooktop on 80 cm cabinet

I currently live in a rental apartment and have a Faktum kitchen there. Since I am moving and need a kitchen there, I would of course like to take most of my kitchen with me. Luckily, Ikea is very flexible in this regard.

Now, I have a cabinet that is 80 cm wide. My induction cooktop is currently sitting on a 60 cm cabinet. My oven is placed at chest height, and this should be maintained. The question now is: Can I also place my induction cooktop on the 80 cm cabinet? I mean, the protective panel can also be installed there. In case of doubt, one can still add one or two screws. Otherwise, nothing basically changes, right?! Or am I missing something?

Does anyone have experience with this?

I have no direct experience with it. But if your cooktop is currently on a 60cm base cabinet, it will also fit on an 80cm cabinet, as this one is larger and not smaller. The crucial factor is the cutout in the countertop.

I myself have not installed this splash guard in my kitchen. However, I do not have a cooktop from IKEA either.

Since you write that you have a Faktum kitchen and Ikea is flexible... It is IKEA! However, Faktum will no longer be available in the store from 06/02/14. Most of the new goods are already no longer being delivered. However, there will be a repurchasing routine for 2 years.

Maybe you should include this in your kitchen plans.
