Improve burglary protection at doors?

Hello everyone,

we have two side entrance doors that could ideally use a bit more burglary protection. Do you perhaps have any tips on which retrofit systems could be used to achieve this? The doors are plastic doors with partial glazing.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions :)

The simplest retrofit solution is likely crossbars across the entire door width.

Place a dog bowl in front of it.

In our area, there actually was a break-in on New Year's Eve. Well, not at our place, but at others. Why not at ours? No idea. We were at a party and not back until four. But maybe the place looks too shabby? Doesn't matter. I’ve now sawed a board and wedge it under the door handle, so it can't be pushed down and that way the door is closed. I don’t have a good idea for the patio door yet. The front door has these five mushroom heads, I trust them to offer some resistance.
