IKEA PAX is frustrating

Hello, it can't be that the Pax is available in 2.01 m but not the corner pieces. I can't find an affordable (under 2000 euros) cabinet in any furniture store that fits our room. The ceiling is 2.30 m high. Then I look forward to the Pax with 2.01 m and then this. What is so difficult about it???

I can understand your anger. I mean, it does look pretty bad when the corner pieces are that small. That wasn't solved very well.

The corners in 2.01 were unfortunately discontinued by Ikea about three quarters of a year ago. Until then, they were available. Such decisions are supposedly made by "smart minds" in Sweden...

Unfortunately, that's really how it is... IKEA regularly conducts surveys on the living conditions in which the "mass" resides - and adjusts its program accordingly. Even here in my area, the apartments are mostly built lower and we would need more from the 2.01 program.

But unfortunately, IKEA does not produce "niche products" but simply for the larger market. It is definitely just a question of profitability. Annoying - but unfortunately can't be changed.

I don't think this is only the case at IKEA. Most suppliers produce what the masses need. If you want something different, you have to have it specially made. I can still remember that we almost couldn't find any furniture for my slanted children's room. By now, that has improved, but unfortunately it is still expensive.

I also sympathize - we still have a 2.22m high Pax wardrobe with folding doors... neither the carcass, doors, nor drawers are available at Ikea...
