Good day,
I am new to the forum as of today and have a question right away.
On Saturday we were at Ikea Freiburg and wanted to look at white Pax carcasses for our upcoming move (mid-April). We got into a conversation with an IKEA employee about delivery questions, who told us that from JULY the carcasses (we were only talking about white ones) would change again, they would become WHITER again. If we still wanted the current ones (no, we don’t want that, since they have had a creamy white tone for about a year now and not a pure white), then we should order quickly because only small quantities are left in the Ikea stores. And once they’re gone, they’re gone. We did not order, wanted to think about it. When we got home, we realized that we hadn’t even asked if there will still be the carcasses in 40 cm depth at all after the change. We need both depths (60 and 40 cm). I then wrote an email to IKEA asking for clarification of my question and was as detailed as here (and I believe I expressed myself clearly). The reply came promptly, but was not very helpful:
"Thank you for your inquiry.
There will be changes in the PAX series at the beginning to middle of April. It is currently not known to what extent these changes will occur. We can only provide you with detailed information by April.
We ask for your understanding."
Well, great. They want me to believe that they will change their program in April but don’t know WHAT exactly 4 weeks before???? Who’s supposed to believe that????
The annoying thing about the whole matter is: If I order the "old, current" fronts now, I have to take this ugly cream white and then from, say, summer on, I won’t be able to buy matching color replacements anymore. But I don’t want to patch things up.
And if I wait until April, it might be that there will no longer be 40 cm carcasses because they have been discontinued… but I absolutely need those!
Long story short… does anyone know more??
Any IKEA employee here who can GIVE me a BINDING answer?
*desperate look*
Thank you all for your attention and have a nice day!
Best regards
