Ikea Metod kitchen - no more full extension cabinet anymore!?

Hello everyone, SOS! I am currently planning my new kitchen after my move. I had for many years a Faktum kitchen (Fagerland), which unfortunately had to stay in the old apartment. Now I regretfully notice that there is no longer a tall cabinet with full extension in "Metod," which I have used so far for my storage containers!!! I am very unhappy about this and now wonder if it is possible, if I find a used tall cabinet from Faktum, to retrofit it with the front panel from the Metod series. Or do you have an idea how and where I can still get a new tall cabinet (1.98 x 60) at Ikea with full extension?? Many thanks for your advice!

Hello, there are still tall cabinets with full extension, but with full extension drawers behind a hinged door. The advantage is that you can access the drawers not only from the side. However, just like with Faktum, you can mount a front on the drawers, but there is no drilling template for this and you have to determine the positions for mounting the front brackets yourself. A Metod front on a Faktum carcass is not very sensible, especially since the Metod fronts are 2 mm wider and this can easily lead to collisions with adjacent fronts.

Of course, you can install high and shallow drawers as you like and, as with FAKTUM, completely do without shelves.
