Hello dear Ikea fans!
1. If I install a refrigerator in a Metod cabinet - is there always a gap of about 10cm? Or is there a cover panel for that?
2. Is the refrigerator somehow fixed at the top? Ikea said they secure themselves by their own weight...
3. Under the tall cabinet is the cover panel, does the grate have to go in there? Ikea already assembled it without the cover panel.
Our new Metod kitchen was assembled by Ikea - what was supposed to take 1 day became 2, but now it’s standing. Except for the built-in refrigerator, which we wanted from Bosch and will do ourselves. Now to my question. We have a 220 tall cabinet from Metod, at the bottom there are four drawers from Ikea up to normal height, finished normally at the top with a board. Now my question: Where does the board with the rails that hold the refrigerator go? If I put it above, it’s spatially above the hinge of the door. But then there’s about 10 cm space between the last drawer board and the refrigerator board. Does that stay empty? Is it always like that?
Thanks for the clarification
Dirk
