Hello dear Ikea fans,

we are about to purchase our Ikea kitchen. Now I just remembered that there needs to be space for an under-sink appliance.

I had actually chosen the "Faktum base cabinet for sink/drawer/1 door" with the number FA 166 as the sink cabinet.

Does anyone happen to have this and could measure how deep the two drawers are?

So I can then calculate how much space is left between the two drawers and the wall and whether the under-sink appliance would fit behind the drawers when closed.

Thanks in advance, best regards :)

Below one 45 deep and above one 35 deep...

But don't forget the siphon - it also needs space!

I don't have exactly the base cabinet, but after connecting the sink, faucet, and siphon, there isn't much space left! I wouldn't know where to put drawers there. I think there will only be room for a few bottles of cleaning products and a small bucket.

My sink cabinet has the same dimensions for the carcass. The lower drawer should still have space. For the second one, I wouldn't know how that should work. When buying, you can just omit the middle (hidden) drawer at first. You buy everything separately anyway... but really everything... carcass, door, drawer, drawer front, shelves, hinges, etc... so if there really is space in the end, you can easily install the small middle drawer afterward in just a few minutes!

Alternative:
The middle drawer is mounted a bit deeper. But then I wouldn't really see the point of the lower drawer anymore. In the end, it will probably come down to a test.

Okay, that definitely helps me already.

I got myself a space-saving siphon and hope that this way I can gain a few valuable centimeters. Not much tall stuff needs to fit in the middle drawer either. Maximum "dish soap bottle height" and underneath maybe a few deep baskets for waste paper and glass.

I'll probably just test it. I just thought that you buy cabinets complete and not really everything separately. I actually should have guessed that.

One more question!!!

Do I have to go upstairs to the switch before I pick out the kitchen furniture in the hall again, or can I just start right away and take everything with me as soon as I have my list printed at home?

If shelf and compartment numbers are already noted on your list, you can get it yourself in the warehouse...

But I would rather bet that you get kitchen items almost exclusively through the goods issue, except for some exceptions (appliances or so) - in other words, you need to get a printout in the kitchen department.
