Hello everyone,

I have a question about a corner wall cabinet, maybe someone can help me with it. To be more precise, it's about the door and the hinges. After I had assembled everything, I mounted the doors, which is usually not a problem, screwed the parts into the side wall and mounted the hinges on the door, then hung the door, all no problem. What bothers me now is the gap between the door and the side wall, as if the door stands out by 0.5 cm, so you can look inside. Surely that's not the point, and as far as I can see, the hinge can't be moved further back.

I hope someone can help me. In advance, I thank you for your effort and help. Regards Michael

Which hinges did you install???
There are special hinges for the corner cabinet. As far as I know, they come with the corner cabinet. If they are correct, then measure the distance from the front side wall to the holes. Are they the same in all places, meaning top and bottom, right side wall left side wall???

Report back...

I installed the hinges that came with the original, correct, they look different from the "normal" ones. The distance from the side panel to the holes is the same on both side parts, top and bottom (30mm). With the screws and other small parts, there are also 2 small "rubber buffers" included, which are supposed to be glued as dampers on the corners. If I hold them in between, then I have a distance of about 8mm between the door and the frame (body). The distance is then almost parallel. Would that mean the door never closes properly? Or is that perhaps how it is supposed to be?
Regards
Michael

The stickers serve to cushion the door so that it doesn't slam shut. So, the door should fit snugly. If that is not the case, something is wrong. The door should fit against the frame. Can you maybe upload a picture???

Look at the distance between the two doors. It looks like it’s very tight when opening. What happens if you open the other door? Does it work???? Is it tight??? I think it’s supposed to be like that... It’s annoying, but that’s how it is...

The door next to it I can open without any problem, nothing is in the way. Yes Brootos, if a wall cabinet would be added next to it now, it wouldn't be so bad, I wouldn't have a gap, only at the bottom and that might still be bearable. But unfortunately, that's not the case, the wall cabinet is the last cabinet, then comes the window. I don't have cover panels, as far as I can see none are planned for that according to the instructions. I just checked the "pickup overview," which lists all the numbers in blocks for each cabinet, but unfortunately nothing is listed for that. However, directly at Ikea I find something like a cover panel for the wall cabinet. I need to check later how it looks if there is a cover panel with a width of 37cm next to it, maybe the gap really won't be visible anymore. So, now I have to go, have a nice day everyone.
