Ikea Faktum built-in cabinet - No fitting strip

Hello, I have now bought a new microwave (Snabb) and oven (Hyllad), as well as a new built-in cabinet. Now that both appliances are installed in the cabinet, there is an open gap of 2cm above the microwave. No trim strips or anything else for covering. Does anyone have an idea?

Narrow front panels for trimming are available including edge banding as "end front". However, the supplied fasteners are more intended for wider "gaps". For inspiration, maybe also take another look at .

unfortunately a problem that has arisen since the switch to the new microwaves, as they are larger than before. Previously, the trim was about 8cm, now it is only about 2cm. As mentioned before, you cut the 2cm off from a 60x9.4 trim and iron the cut edge back together. 2cm is definitely a tricky number. If you don’t have a saw with a guide, just go to the hardware store and have it cut there. A little tip, always stick a layer of masking tape on first, so the edges don’t fray. Then glue the cut strip on with strong double-sided tape or silicone; screwing works poorly or not at all.

at first I thought we had assembled the cabinet incorrectly, because to me it is incomprehensible that there is no pre-made panel for it. We have now bought a drawer front from Lidingö and have to cut it ourselves. Although Ikea advertises: "you don't have to be a craftsman" to assemble an Ikea kitchen :)
Anyway, I'm still an Ikea fan :)
