Ikea Faktum 1992 - Do new fronts fit?

my Faktum kitchen is from 1992 and actually still quite okay.
Do the current fronts still fit the kitchen? When measuring, I come up with differences in the dimensions of about 1 cm, maybe someone here already has experience with this.

As far as I know, the measurements were never changed. In 1996, they were certainly the same as today. What did you measure? It is important that the BODY of the base cabinets is 70 cm high, and for the wall cabinets, 70 cm or 92 cm.

as far as I know, the corpus sizes have not changed. There are only such gimmicks like 50cm drawer cabinets no longer available. Otherwise, the IKEA expert has already told you the measurements. You can also get a price overview just for fronts at your IKEA, which lists all the dimensions and prices. It's just a sheet and is directly posted by the fronts overview.

Little tip: If you have "odd" measurements like 59.6cm, etc., always round up to a clean 60. Otherwise, no one will understand anymore. :cool:

Gimmicks? I rather find it annoying that the 50 cm wide base cabinet is no longer available with a drawer. A 50 cm drawer front, a 57 cm door, and the drawers separately—there is no need for more to offer greater variability. Ikea wants to expand its share of the kitchen market in Germany but offers significantly fewer options than pure kitchen manufacturers, and the price difference is no longer as big as it used to be. In small kitchens, you do not always have unlimited combination options to compensate for the loss of the 50 cm drawer. No, a drawer in a 50 cm cabinet is not a gimmick.

No worries, the fronts fit. My Faktum cabinets are just as old and we also replaced the fronts last year. Unfortunately, the 50 cm drawers are no longer available - I also think that’s a shame. You also need a little bit of craftsmanship if you want to keep the old 60 cm drawers and only change the fronts. The new drawer fronts no longer have the groove, but if you have a circular saw, you can mill it yourself and then you can use the new fronts for the old drawer inserts.

Do people keep the old drawers voluntarily, unless money is really tight? Those things were terrible. They were stiff, sometimes squeaked, and there was no soft self-closing mechanism either.
