Exactly, that's what I always think too.

Well, usually fresh water comes from the flush tank. We actually never had a dirty lid because of that.
But we also pulled the joker of "regular cleaning". :P

However, I am still not further with my decision. Maybe we'll try rimless from another manufacturer.
I have read about this problem more often in general regarding rimless toilets.

I’ve spent way too much time dealing with toilets ;) There are definitely rimless ones that aren’t 100% rimless but have a tiny little rim at the top so nothing splashes out. We’ve only installed one toilet so far. It’s actually a simple shower toilet (so without a dryer, music, heated buttocks, or anything like that), the Tece One. It’s rimless and nothing splashes out. The other one hasn’t been installed yet and is currently standing in the kitchen because the ground floor was tiled ;)

Hi Kati,

Yes, we also installed Ideal Standard Connect, namely "Connect Air" with AquaBlade. We are very satisfied and at least don’t see any fundamental problem. Occasionally, a few drops splash up now and then, but as I said, I don’t see any fundamental issue.

In terms of price-performance and aesthetics, I found the models great, at least compared to similar ones, and are satisfied so far with AquaBlade, although I cannot clearly see or assess an advantage. I just took the coating as a nice-to-have since the surcharge was minimal. As far as I know, it washes out eventually anyway, but so far (after a year) everything is fine. Only the original lids are disappointing. They look nice, but you shouldn’t sit on them :)

I see a significant advantage in the installed Geberit insertion slot for cleaning cubes. If you don’t know that yet, I can only recommend it.

Thanks! It’s always cool to have a forum like this, especially when someone with hands-on experience with exactly the item we're looking for shows up. :) I’m also considering giving the toilet with Aquablade another chance. In the previous house, we didn’t have the problem with splashing every day. It was just a bit annoying. But the toilet looks simply great.

Hands-On in connection with toilets creates strange images in my head. It might have to be called Bottom-On-Experience...
