Thank you very much for your contributions :)
For me, it’s less about floor plans and more about other nice ideas for interior design. Of course, I also have some ideas regarding the floor plan (I definitely want the kitchen at the back with a terrace to the garden and absolutely not open), but I will do it the way most people recommend here – go to the architect with the ideas and let them "draw".
And I have also already read that you should have a fairly concrete idea quite quickly of how, for example, the kitchen and bathroom should look like, so that the connections etc. can be planned properly.
Ah, everything always looks so great in the magazines (bathrooms, fireplaces, furniture, lighting concepts, etc.), it’s just fun for me to browse through them.
I think I will probably also cut out nice things/photos and file them sorted. Scanning also sounds good, but I’m afraid that would be too much effort for me.

Ziva, I definitely want to visit a model home park and I already feel like wandering through bathroom and kitchen exhibitions (cook island yes/no, etc.), but at the moment it’s more comfortable for me to inform myself as much as possible from home because I have a 3-month-old baby lying around here ;-) .

Doc, what kind of books have you read and which can you recommend?

: I personally found the following books really helpful:
- Law and contracts in house construction: what builders need to know
- We plan and build our house: The big book of house construction
- The sample building description: correctly comparing house offers

It is also important to remember that not everything that looks good in photos has to look good or even be practical in reality.

Koempy - that’s clear. But at least this gives some ideas of how something could look. I hope you get tips from people who know their stuff if you happen to get infatuated or stuck with something silly. Practical for me would always come before beautiful, I’ve always done it that way.

DNL - I took a quick look, that looks great. That’s exactly what I was looking for :). I will definitely try it out and sign up through your link :D.
