How to transfer the Ikea-Pax planner to the shopping list like in the 3D planner?

Hello, as an Ikea fans forum member and Ikea novice, I need your help... We are planning to buy a new kitchen – I need a total of 7 linear meters of kitchen fronts. The nice man from the local kitchen studio gave me a quote for 10,000€, the cheap version would be available for 8,000€. So Ikea and assemble it myself... I have already created my new kitchen in the 3D planner, now I would like to check if all the parts are available in my Ikea... Do I have to enter each part individually on the Ikea website to check availability or can I transfer my planning into a shopping list that I can check completely? As far as I know, this is possible with the Ikea-Pax planner... Many thanks, Micha

Hello The procedure at Ikea is as follows: After you have planned the kitchen with the online planner, you go to Ikea and discuss the plan with an employee of the kitchen department. The plan is then reviewed and often small changes are made. Afterwards, the employee creates 2 lists: List 1 with all the parts you have to pick yourself from the shelves and List 2 with all items that are only available at the [Warenausgabe]. These are mainly the fronts and side panels. It is recommended to go immediately to the checkout with List 2 and pay for it, then the goods will be assembled at the [Warenausgabe] while you go again to the shelves with List 1 and look for the goods yourself. When you have also paid for these at the checkout, the goods from List 2 are usually ready at the [Warenausgabe]. If items are not in stock, you will find out immediately in the kitchen department after receiving the lists. Of course, you can also view the shopping list yourself in the online planner, but it will not be 100% correct because it is not checked. If you then check the availability of each product on the website, you will only get the stock levels of the items from List 1. Best regards Section manager

Thank you very much for the information! I have only been to Ikea once so far, and then we bought the aforementioned Pax wardrobe - and used the shopping service... Therefore, the thing with List 1 & 2 was completely new to me, I thought you had to pick everything yourself in the warehouse... So now I am a bit wiser. It is clear that I will have a staff member check my planning first - but I would have liked to check beforehand whether all parts are in stock according to my plan. If I then saw that parts were not in stock, I would just go to another Ikea. What are your experiences regarding product availability, do they usually have everything in stock or does it often happen that you come away empty-handed...?

It mainly depends on the fronts. Some are generally not in stock, such as the black corpses. Popular fronts like Bodbyn are still not available. I would also ask if the chosen front and handles will soon be discontinued.

We are currently leaning towards Ringhult in cream white - I don't think it's quite so exotic, is it...? ops:
