We have an uninsulated wall between the kitchen and the attached garage interior. This garage interior wall (facing the kitchen) is to be insulated because very poor quality bricks (24 cm wall, rather unfavorable pumice concrete hollow blocks) were used here. Also to prevent mold in the kitchen through the installation of a new window. The roof continues through and is continuously insulated.
Since the uninsulated, unheated garage also always has quite high humidity (it is designed so that rainwater coming to the garage door can run out under the rear garage door through the sloping floor), I see some challenges here. Which insulation material is suitable and what else should be considered?
