How much financing? Realistic budget?

Are you reaching the 2500€ net with or without night and weekend allowances? How many hours could you actually work with children, especially if you also have to commute 2*45 minutes? Does childcare cost anything for you? Very nice amount. I think saving for a few years is still possible, and then a small house could still work out. Then Corona will be over and your husband will have a regular income again.

The 2500€ include allowances, but I must also say that I have only been a trained professional since last year. Currently, I work 39 hours a week; after parental leave, I would like to work at least 50% again, preferably night shifts, which should also not be a problem at my workplace.

I don't understand.... TE says there are 2,800 left per month - that's a lot. Also another 330 rent/ancillary costs makes about 3100. I have no reason to doubt that for now... Even if TE only spends 1,500 of that on financing and chooses a 4% annuity - he/she can finance 450,000. That should be feasible...

I think that 400,000 is much more realistic, what do you think?

With a basement and 160 sqm? No chance. Not for 400k€. You haven't effectively increased the construction cost because you're talking about a basement that is not in the budget.

With a basement and 160 sqm? No chance. Not for €400k. You haven't effectively increased the construction cost because you're just talking about a basement that is not within the budget.

That's why I'm asking you. I find the offers you find online so opaque that I don't even know what costs are realistic... as described, we want at least 130 sqm without a basement, which doesn't mean it has to be 160 sqm. No idea if that ultimately makes much difference in the sum. If I knew, I wouldn't have to ask here :D
I also don't want to go to a consultation appointment at a prefab house company and then totally freak out when they present me with a probable final price :D

Yes, exactly, or rather it was 1500€ because since I finished training, I have been putting aside everything I can, which unfortunately was not possible for my partner last year. We have been planning or rather talking about possibly building within the next 1-2 years only since the end of last year.
