Hello community, how long does it usually take on average for the first construction defects in a new building to appear, or from what age can one say that if certain defects have not occurred by then, they very likely will not appear anymore?

I know a general answer is difficult; I am purely interested in what the statistics say.

If the legislator provides a warranty period of 5 years, they must have had a reason for it, right? As a layperson, I would therefore assume that if certain issues have not appeared after 5 years (mold due to faulty ventilation, other damage to the structure, etc.), they very likely will not appear anymore.

Thanks

Ideally, none will come to light. You seem to be just waiting for that...

As I said, it's purely about the statistics.... just for my peace of mind.

Cannot be answered in general:

Roof tiles not properly attached -> At the first storm
Forgot to install a window -> Ideally immediately, at the latest during the [Blower Door Test]..
Missing sealing of the pipes in the transfer shaft: Possibly never, only when the shaft overflows
Mold formation due to thermal bridge: You ventilated incorrectly!!!
Scratched windows: Ideally immediately, but you cleaned the windows incorrectly anyway.
