Why should there be insulation problems if the inspection opening is to be opened from inside and below the roller shutter box? It is rather the opposite, since - if you ever have to get to it - plaster and insulation have to be removed?
Why should insulation and plaster be removed? Apparently, you have never seen such a masonry box. It is a very similar system to when it is opened from the inside. Left openings are not allowed anyway. But image search helps very quickly.
And why it can lead to problems if opened from the inside, I cannot tell you. Sloppy work, poor system, ... In any case, it caused a weak point during the Blower Door test for two acquaintances.
Why should you do that?
Why not? If someone likes the extremely ugly plastic covers of the opening, fine. I frankly do not find them nice.
My question was quite different though. I will try to phrase it differently. Maybe I expressed myself incorrectly.
It concerns the difference between the two roller shutter systems, mounted on top of the window or in front of the window. One with a masonry box and one without. If masonry box, only those that are not visible as such from the inside and therefore have an inspection opening on the outside.
