The approval usually takes 3 months (BW). With us, the planning phase took quite long because we often changed things until we found the optimum (for us). My recommendation: "do not plan under time pressure". Many ideas and wishes come weeks after you think "this fits now".

Building permits vary between 2 and 10 weeks depending on the municipality. You can easily inquire about that.

Many building authorities, however, require 6 months or more for approval. Hope this helps you somewhat.

After submitting the building application to the building authority, the processing there alone takes a good 6 months. Afterwards, the home builder usually gets another 2 months of scheduling time until it finally starts at some point. Total construction time 2-3 years.
