By accepting the offer, a "contract" is formed. This should normally be noted as a footnote in their online property description, stating that by clicking, you agree to blah blah. When you accept the offer of a supermarket, store, or online shop (whether commercial or private), you also have a contract that is actually binding. Everyone refers to their right of return or cancellation, but no one deals with the purchasing process itself and the rights of give and take.
