Some people simply have a deep need to honestly stand by their stupidity. The trick with free fall acceleration was brilliant, only fashion abolished it.
It was just annoying when you wanted to clean or descale the cistern. In the cramped toilet, there is hardly any space for the ladder that you need there ;)
Have you guys actually noticed that in all the American house-building shows, almost only floor-mounted toilets appear? I find that really strange.
Not only in the house-building shows but in general. Somehow, the wall-mounted variant hasn't really been able to establish itself in the USA, just like the rimless toilet. It could possibly have something to do with the weight, especially since (1) American toilets always contain about five to ten liters of water and (2) they are significantly longer, so that the user would apply even more force to the mounting due to the longer lever.
