Good morning,

the following situation where I hope to receive some tips:

According to the construction company's planning, our technical equipment is planned in one corner of the basement. (Fuses box, supply shaft, heating technology, etc.) During a walkthrough of the basement, we were also confirmed that everything would take place in this corner.

Now the house connections have been laid, but electricity/water/telephone now come in at the other corner of the basement, and the lines have to be routed along the entire wall to the other corner.

Because of this, in my opinion, we lose part of the basement, and the idea of separating the technical corner from the children is also gone.

We are building turnkey with a developer, so we are not the builders. According to the construction company, this is what the utility companies decided.

Do we have any influence on this? Are there any tips? If not, could this possibly lead to a claim for compensation due to the lost basement corner and wall?

Thanks a lot!

Is there a conclusive answer why the city utilities decided it that way?

How about if you let them shift the whole thing to the other corner for additional costs?

I would not accept that if I lose cellar space.

The district heating connections apparently cannot be crossed with the other connections underground... I absolutely cannot judge that. As a non-professional, it sounds like an excuse because of extra work.

The municipal utilities always prefer the shortest route because they are responsible for the repair up to the handover point. In addition, the developer has to pay for every meter, and that is how the result comes about.

Photos or plans of the cables over the property would help. Are the connections already installed?

Then the developer really didn't coordinate that with the municipal utilities…
