Hello everyone,

we inquired with the city about the house connections on our property. They told us that we have a water lead-in, but the sewer is only in the street. That means/would mean for us that we still have to have the sewer connection done. We then commissioned the city’s civil engineer to lay a sewer lead-in on our property. After 2 days he was finished and we were satisfied. Shortly afterwards, our own civil engineer installed the necessary inspection shaft on our property and wanted to connect it to the sewer lead-in when he found a second sewer lead-in while digging.

Now the question arises, can anything be done here, since the city’s plans were not complete or correct and we paid about €6,000 for nothing. After all, someone has already paid for the second lead-in as well.

Thanks for tips

Fun

Hello,

You need to speak with the responsible authority; no one can really answer this here. It may be that the existing sewer lead-in consisted of clay pipes; these are no longer permitted today.

Best regards

Hi construction expert,

no, that was not a conduit. One of the neighbors said that he remembers it being done like that about 15 years ago. We wrote a letter to the city asking for clarification. Now we just hope that it might come down to a 1/2 1/2 solution. It really turned out badly. We should have asked the neighbors beforehand....

...hardly believable with our orderly managed offices! maybe they shredded it too. hope for you that you at least see part of the costs again!

With us, no one knew anymore what, how, where, or when anything was done. So not an isolated case.
On our property, a water connection was installed in 1970, and well, never paid for. The sellers also told us that they had never paid the 1000 DM.
At the offices, no one knew anything.

Well, then the water supervisor searched and found... simply turned on the line, and then a water fountain appeared on the property...
We then paid the bill: €12,000 ... what a price increase

now the water authority also has plans where it is marked ...

Hi Der Da,

yes, the seller probably didn’t pay anything either... We will probably have to accept it, even though you really can only shake your head

have a nice weekend!
