We are doing it similarly. We do the plastering ourselves, lay floors, install doors, paint, and will probably install the bathroom fixtures ourselves. We are smaller and it's a bungalow, but I think the price is comparable to yours and we think it's a good deal. (Otherwise we wouldn't have done it)

Thanks for the feedback. We had already obtained two comparison quotes (also from local companies) and both were a bit more expensive.

Our plot costs €72k and with house, land, and additional costs we are roughly at €530k. My naive wish was to stay around €400k in total, but that seems only possible with significantly more own work.

However, I fear that you will not manage with your calculated 530kEuro in the end. With the outdoor facilities, kitchen, and much more, 600kEuro will be exceeded quickly.

But unfortunately, that seems to be the current trend when I look at, for example, our new development area. I am relatively alone there with my solid brick house planned freely by the architect, including a basement. And when you talk to the surrounding builders, you quickly realize that they have not paid or will pay much less. The difference, however, is that I invest every free hour in the construction. Every trade is independently contracted and coordinated. At this point, however, it must also be said that a certain technical background is present. Of course, this type of construction cannot be generally recommended.
