You might want to include such details right away. ;)

If at the end of 2020 you write in a thread

"We had 198k on the contract (bungalow, without basement, 180sqm, without smart home). In the end, it was about 230k with upgrades and we had to pay extra for the roof,"

that just seems insanely cheap / almost unbelievable. But if you then say: "Heinz von Heiden, standard with few upgrades and from 2015," I believe that without seeing it.

House construction prices haven’t changed so extremely in about 4 years that you would need 100k more. Our house building project was already considered really cheap "back then" as well. Even then, everyone here was told that you don’t need to aim below 300k for a 150sqm hut. That’s just not true if you tweak things a bit. It should be clear that you can’t build a luxury house with all services at that price. But the hut isn’t small and it has a good standard.

The construction price index has increased by 20% from 2015 to today alone... so we are already at 50-100k. In addition, there are certainly significant regional surcharges depending on the region. At least some information about rough equipment, proportion of DIY work, and year of construction belongs in such a thread (the meaningfulness of which I already doubt). Everything else only confuses further and turns the comparison of apples and pears (where at least both are fruit) into one between an apple and crude oil, where no comparison is possible at all.
