After reading along here for a while, I now also need help. We are currently building, and now it’s slowly getting serious and decisions have to be made. We have planned 2 bathrooms in our house. There are 5 of us - 2 adults + 3 girls. One bathroom is meant to be the parents’ bathroom, but due to its proximity to child 3, it will probably also be used by her. The second bathroom is located between 2 children’s rooms and is intended to be the children’s bathroom.
Sewage connections are available on both sides in both bathrooms, so according to the architect we can do whatever we want in the bathroom. The doors can also still be changed.
The dimensions of the parents’ bathroom are: 3.50 x 3.30
The dimensions of the children’s bathroom are: 3.50 x 1.70, so quite narrow.

In the parents’ bathroom we are considering a T-solution. But how is it in 10 years? We definitely want a large shower and a hidden toilet.

I have created a few plans and hope for lively feedback from you. After all, a bathroom is not something you renew every few years. The depicted sanitary fixtures are only to be understood as placeholders.

Hello

I am not a fan of T-solutions because, in my opinion, they make the bathroom appear smaller than it actually is. I really like the first option for the master bathroom. Spacious, open, and practical.

The children's bathroom doesn't offer much room for variation, of course. But first, I would paint the WC wall. Totally unnecessary. If I want privacy, I simply lock the door — then it doesn’t feel so cramped anymore.

Hello,

I also find the first option of the parent's bathroom and the second option of the children's bathroom the nicest. It will be spacious, the sinks are close to the door, and everything is well arranged.
I would also paint the wall near the toilet in the children's bathroom, it makes it very interrupted... If then the toilet is placed where the shower is and instead a glass shower is in front. (However, you would lose quite a bit of space as a result)

For the parent bathroom definitely version 1 and for the children’s bathroom none really convinces me. What I find problematic in both versions is the size of the entry to the shower. In both versions it looks like there is just about 50 to 70 cm of space. And that would annoy me because it is exactly the opposite of spacious. Or rather, it would annoy me every day.

Thank you for your opinions. The issue with the children's bathroom is really difficult. So far, I don't really like anything either. I have now thought about it again and come up with a solution that I quite like, but unfortunately I don’t know if it will work: Can you put a washbasin in front of the window? If yes, how high should the window sill be then? A small corner mirror cabinet could then be placed in the corner. The passage to the shower is about 80 cm and the passage to the toilet would be about 90-100 cm. For the parent’s bathroom, I also tend to prefer the first option. Although I generally like the T-solution, I find the bathroom too small for it and it feels oppressive. And trying to force something is actually not my thing.

Is the sink by the window sensible? I don't think so.

Calculate at least 10cm of pre-wall installation for everything. Wastewater pipes should not be installed in the exterior wall.
