Heat pump with underfloor heating and radiators?

Hello everyone,

it is basically possible to operate a heat pump with underfloor heating (EG) and radiators (OG). Does anyone have experience in this regard or what should be taken into account?

It is not a new building but a holiday home abroad. The floor on the EG has to be torn up anyway, therefore underfloor heating on the EG.

From my layman’s knowledge, heating with radiators is less efficient because higher temperatures need to be used. There are special low-temperature radiators, but whether they can completely compensate for a floor heating system is something I doubt. However, I have no experience. There have been occasional cases where people have built this way here. But it certainly also depends on where the holiday property is located and how it is used. Mallorca is certainly to be assessed differently than a property in the Alps with heavy winter use. Maybe you should just elaborate a bit more. Then more answers will certainly come.

Additionally, from my layman’s knowledge. If it cannot be avoided, then do not combine radiators and underfloor heating in one heating circuit. Two separate heating circuits. Also because of rust/dirt in the heating water.
