Hairline cracks in lime cement plaster

Hello to the few who plastered their living area with lime cement.

The painter is just about to start and mentioned that we often have hairline cracks in the plaster. The plan was simply to sand the plaster (this has already been done) and paint twice. We would rather not fully skim coat the surfaces.

Did anyone have the same problem?

This is not a defect; we knew we were doing something unusual.

As irregular as the cracks are, something dried too quickly, so hopefully they will no longer change due to the settling of the house. Therefore, it is best to paint over the fine cracks with elastic paint, such as a mineral one mixed with organic parts, your painter should have known that.

Or if you have time, observe if the cracks move and enlarge, then repointing is necessary.

Yes, dried too quickly. Shrinkage cracks. But not serious. In my opinion, the safest thing would be to stick painting fleece over it and then paint. What does the painter say?
