Hello,
the latest annoyance: The grout color was ordered incorrectly by the tiler. We had met on the construction site, there "between door and hinge," and based on samples that we held directly against the tile, the grout color was decided. Everything seemed clear.
Now a different color has been grouted, which just doesn't look good.
Of course, nothing was recorded in writing, but you wouldn't have to do that (or so one would think).
The tiler said there is grout color that he would then paint over it.
Is that acceptable? With a grout cutter, I fear tiles would be damaged or it might even look worse beforehand.
It has happened so often that things were agreed upon verbally, sometimes twice, and it still gets done differently. One would think that should be enough. But actually, you have to be on the construction site every day and check the work, preferably before anything is done.
