Hi,

I hope this is the right area for my question.

On our property, the soil investigations for the soil report were supposed to be carried out today. However, due to the weather in recent days (Niedersachsen), water is standing on parts of the property or the ground is soft and muddy. As a result, the technicians from the contracted company cannot drive their vehicle onto the property to carry out the drilling. The tires sink halfway into the soft ground. They need to drive the heavy equipment to the drilling locations.

What would be the best way to solve this? Wait until it is completely dry? Wait until it freezes and the ground is hard enough to drive on? Level the entire property up to the drilling locations? If so, what should be used to level it? The material used for leveling will probably be needed later again (at least) for paving and the terrace.

Maybe one or another expert has a tip for us. Thank you very much.

Regards

Is there a huge hurry with this? Otherwise, I would just wait a week or ten days, then it will probably work again (or?). Alternatively, one could also work with the appropriate planks.

Best regards

Thank you for your reply. The problem is that the water was already seeping very very slowly before. Therefore, we do not believe that it will get better quickly (it is supposed to rain as well). The soil report is required by the developer before they submit the building notification. Otherwise, everything will be delayed...

Then I would, as suggested by K1300S, organize a few thick wooden planks on which the drilling vehicle can drive to the corresponding spots on the property.

Hello,

Why doesn’t your provider cover the access road to the property with construction panels if it is so urgent? Normally, the soil expert doesn’t care what the weather is like for his drilling.

I don’t understand. What does the soil report have to do with the building application?

Rhenish greetings

...and why does it concern you? Let the developer solve their own problem.
