Hello everyone,
we actually want to use mobile parasols for our terrace (10x4m) so that they can be adjusted according to the position of the sun. However, to make them windproof, you have to use proper weights, which then make them less mobile, or are we mistaken?
As an alternative, we thought of two large parasols that are embedded in the ground along the long edge of the terrace. The parasol should also be tiltable. That way we should be able to properly shade the entire terrace, and since it will be concreted into the ground, stability should not be a problem.
(1) What do you think? Are there also mobile parasols that actually work? It doesn't help us if you’re afraid it will fall over at the slightest wind.
(2) Which brands can generally be recommended? I prefer to buy something good once, and I have no idea what is qualitatively good in this area. I don't want to base it on price.
(3) How about the sockets? I thought I could concrete in a "standard socket" this year and then choose a parasol next year. Apparently, there is no standard here, so I need to know now which parasol it will be. Is that correct? I don't want to be tied down.
