Geothermal collector when 1 meter has to be backfilled anyway?

so far I was quite certain that I wanted to install a gas condensing boiler with solar thermal and (for comfort reasons) a central controlled residential ventilation with heat recovery in my new building.

Geothermal energy with deep drilling was too expensive for me and an air-water heat pump did not convince me with its concept in winter.

However, my plot has to be filled up by about 1m or 1.2m anyway. It is about 500m2 in size and the soil is sandy, soil class 3.

The topsoil has to be pushed aside before the filling, no idea at what depth. What do you think about installing a heat pump with a geothermal collector now? Wouldn’t that make sense? How does this technology compare in terms of efficiency and acquisition costs?

You need to know the heating load calculation of the building, and of course also the built-up areas.

We initially planned that too, but it wouldn't have worked - our plot is only slightly larger, but the heat treatment could not have been covered by that.

If it does fit, the efficiency is similar to a deep borehole and the acquisition costs are a joke - depending on whether you do something yourself. By now, I have no desire to lay the usually 300m PE pipe anymore :D

Sebastian has already said most of it, I didn't find it so dramatic to lay the pipes, but you have to prepare very well and have helpers.

Whether it actually works for you can be very well read and checked in the forum mentioned by Sebastian.

Furthermore, you should anyway take several hours there to read up.
