Because in old houses there was automatic continuous ventilation. The windows were leaky. At most, the inhabitants were airtight. Today, every house is airtight, see blowdoor test. Being diffusion-open allows your wet wall to dry again under the right conditions, but does not enable even remotely adequate air exchange. Ventilating by opening the windows widely 4 to 5 times a day for 10 minutes is usually sufficient. You just have to come home from work during the day...

Maybe it’s also too much that I inform myself about. It would probably be easier to just have it built

How long have you been living in the house? How often do you air out and what is the average humidity?

In a controlled residential ventilation system, it's not about mold but about ventilation.

You get mold if you have cold spots where water can condense.

Wait and see. Time will tell, mold will come...

PS: I do not sell Controlled Residential Ventilation and have never spoken to anyone about it.
