And this brewing unit can be rinsed weekly. I heard about the report that mentioned and informed myself. Accordingly, for me, these public KVAs that push milk directly through the nozzle should be avoided. Because I don't believe maintenance contracts include monthly cleanings, as that would be too expensive. So when buying, make sure the brewing unit can be removed. By the way, any kind of water tank where water stands for a longer time is a good breeding ground for germs. This also includes common coffee machines where droplets of water remain that you can't just wash out easily. So every coffee machine with a water tank! I am a proud owner of a nice DeLonghi in the mid-price range - so nothing bothers my stomach ;)

Best regards, Yvonne

That's why I have a classic filter coffee machine with a removable water tank :D

But I also believe that the biggest problem is the owners themselves, who simply clean too little & also like to skip the maintenance of the machines.

In the office I use a pad machine. I'm quite satisfied with it. I found a type that I like. And the ecological aspect is not too bad either. If I drink coffee on the weekend, it's either a hand-brewed one or the good old Prüttkaffee. Still tastes the best! :)

You take a cup/pot, fill it with boiling water, then add the ground coffee directly. Stir once, wait a few minutes until the coffee grounds have settled, and then enjoy :D
