Hello forum,
I have now read, watched, and obtained plenty of offers. From the initial OBI door, which does not fit with the standard dimensions (110x220), I have now ended up with three providers:

1. Köster aluminum front door. (this only comes with the "security package 2" and thus over 300 euros extra for RC2): approx. 3200
2. Groke aluminum front door (standard RC2): approx. 2800
3. Hörmann "Thermosafe," currently a promotional front door, all included, unlike the other two it is flap-overlapping (which I find nicer, but otherwise I am not willing to pay an extra 500 euros for). RC3. Price approx. 2950
All doors: no side panel.

I think I have read here in the forum (and elsewhere) that I am making a good choice with Groke and Köster. Both doors have a depth of over 9 cm and seem very massive. For the Hörmann (depth 80), I do not know. The Thermosafe is in the upper class; the Thermocarbon is too expensive for me. Hörmann probably has the best insulation value. The highest security class as well. But as a sales manager told me yesterday: it is a hardware store door, you will not find it in specialist trade - and he dismissed it as junk.

Inotherm, Bayerwald and the like are out. Simply too expensive.
The saying "The front door is your business card" is useless to me, because the whole outer appearance is completely irrelevant when the person behind the door is forgettable. After a short time (about two minutes), even the most amazing front door cannot save you if the person is one to run away from.
I find all the proposed doors great. I am looking for a tasteful door, but I do not spend 15 minutes daily with a coffee in my hand in front of the door admiring the artwork, even in nice weather. So none of these are criteria for me for a discussion.
Wood is out of the question.

Who can help me here in the forum with experience in my decision? I would be grateful for tips.

What do you want to hear now? It's just a front door. Ours cost 5000 and is made of wood with a coating. It is from the carpenter.

I can only advise against Hörmann, they are really bad. They rust, are acoustically miserable, and their workmanship and appearance are cheap.

We are getting a Kompotherm front door. It is a local manufacturer, but they offer nationwide service in Germany. We liked the doors when we looked at and handled them, the pricing is transparent and they are quite individually configurable.

Whether you can find something there for under €3,000, I can't judge. Maybe with a promotional model without glass and other frills.

For comparison: We are getting a single-leaf door measuring 110x220 with glass insert and a "classic" look (no leaf overlap), 96mm construction depth with extra sealing, RAL custom color in a kind of "super matte," Fuhr motor lock, E-Key fingerprint, and special exterior handle. Security was not our concern, there are less resistant and more visible points of attack for burglars. Including installation, this should be around €6,000.

Personally, I see the topic of the "business card" rather pragmatically and probably would not have spent so much money on a front door. But just as €2,000 for questionable equipment ultimately didn’t seem to deliver its added value, sometimes €2,500 for an ugly door is €2,000 too much. That should not be overlooked.

I wanted to hear exactly what you wrote: experiences. Thanks for that.

@Dr. Hix: I am not looking for "any" other manufacturer. I also don't want to spend 6000, not even 4000. I am only interested in a recommendation or non-recommendation from these three providers. The doors are all nice and have everything I am looking for: automatic locking, security lock, good insulation. RC2.

Hey, don’t be upset. I simply don’t have the money for a door in that range. I have chosen all of them around 3000 euros, decided on one of the three, and am just looking for a recommendation "in addition." Please don’t be mad...
