Hello forum,
I have now read, watched, and obtained plenty of offers. From the initial OBI door, which does not fit with the standard dimensions (110x220), I have now ended up with three providers:
1. Köster aluminum front door. (this only comes with the "security package 2" and thus over 300 euros extra for RC2): approx. 3200
2. Groke aluminum front door (standard RC2): approx. 2800
3. Hörmann "Thermosafe," currently a promotional front door, all included, unlike the other two it is flap-overlapping (which I find nicer, but otherwise I am not willing to pay an extra 500 euros for). RC3. Price approx. 2950
All doors: no side panel.
I think I have read here in the forum (and elsewhere) that I am making a good choice with Groke and Köster. Both doors have a depth of over 9 cm and seem very massive. For the Hörmann (depth 80), I do not know. The Thermosafe is in the upper class; the Thermocarbon is too expensive for me. Hörmann probably has the best insulation value. The highest security class as well. But as a sales manager told me yesterday: it is a hardware store door, you will not find it in specialist trade - and he dismissed it as junk.
Inotherm, Bayerwald and the like are out. Simply too expensive.
The saying "The front door is your business card" is useless to me, because the whole outer appearance is completely irrelevant when the person behind the door is forgettable. After a short time (about two minutes), even the most amazing front door cannot save you if the person is one to run away from.
I find all the proposed doors great. I am looking for a tasteful door, but I do not spend 15 minutes daily with a coffee in my hand in front of the door admiring the artwork, even in nice weather. So none of these are criteria for me for a discussion.
Wood is out of the question.
Who can help me here in the forum with experience in my decision? I would be grateful for tips.
