You think so? For it being "only" earthworks, I find it rather in the upper third. In the end, it was just excavating, putting in frost protection gravel and compacting, and later digging and connecting the drainage. Unfortunately, due to the poor soil, it was the only acceptable option. We could have done a strip foundation, but then we would have had to completely replace the soil inside as well. The floor slab came from the [GU].

This is how the whole thing looked without the house.... Amazing, when I think back now, only 1.5 years ago..... everything was so exciting!

We had more than ten times that with the concrete slab. Even without a basement.

That exactly answers my question. Thank you very much. I am facing the same "problem" and am still unsure whether perhaps an extended strip foundation could compensate for this height more cost-effectively.

You had over 240,000 euros just for earthworks and the foundation slab??? A quarter of a million???
