Flush mounting possible this way - experiences?

I am currently trying to plan a new kitchen. The conditions are very limited, so I want to make optimal use of the available space.

In the picture, you can see a dishwasher as well as a 60 cm base cabinet with sink (SP). For example, can I install a Boholmen sink (70 cm) as shown, i.e. OVER both cabinets? In my opinion, that should work, but I am asking just to be sure.

One more thing: when I try to place the above sink on an 80 cm base sink cabinet in the planner, it is not centered but positioned to the left (or right). That means the basin is centered, but the drainer area overhangs. Is this a mistake in the planner or a misunderstanding on my part?

That should work. In the worst case, the brackets could lie exactly on the edges of the dishwasher. Then you just have to mill out a bit of the countertop. Do you really need a drip tray? Most people who do without it don’t miss it and don’t want one anymore.

You should definitely not mill anything on the dishwasher. You can mill a bit from underneath the countertop so that the bracket is flush with the bottom.

Hi,

that the sink is not centered on the sink cabinet is intentional... but nonsense. Ikea always plans the sink basin in the middle of the cabinet, not the entire sink. No matter which sink you choose, the basin is always centered. Of course, a 70 cm sink fits on an 80 cm sink cabinet. You should leave at least 5 cm of space to the wall to have enough material for the countertop cutout. You automatically achieve this if the sink is centered.

If you let the draining board run over the dishwasher, that’s also not a problem. You attach the clamps for fixing the sink to the countertop yourself. It’s best to place them where the dishwasher’s soft insulation is. This way, nothing extra has to be milled out of the countertop.

Now the only question is: wait for Metod or buy a "mature product" now.
I fear that when the new series is released, not everything will be running "smoothly" yet.
On the other hand, I don't like that there will soon be no more spare parts for the old series.
Changes to the existing furniture (e.g., fronts) are probably no longer possible then :(
