I can recommend solid wood planks, but only glued.

As far as I know, slate is porous and absorbs. I would think of grease stains and the like.

Yes, that's how I've read it too. There are also slate boards for serving, which look dirty and untreated once they've absorbed grease ;)

Aha. I thought that with impregnation, the slate would no longer be sensitive to stains. That's what they said in the [Natursteinhandel]. Mh, that's unfortunate, it wouldn't be so ideal then.

That sounds nice. I love planks. Is that also suitable for underfloor heating?
