Hello everyone,

as with the window planning in the floor plan forum, we are now also moving on to the fine tuning of the family bathroom on the upper floor. It would be great to get some food for thought or suggestions for improvement here. Many thanks in advance!

Framework conditions:

We are a family (33/35) with 1 child (1 year old). On the ground floor there is also a guest WC with a shower. The window in the bathroom here faces north, in case that is relevant. The walls are already fixed except for the door corner, the window could still be moved freely to the left/right. On the east side no window is possible.

Current plan:

Ideas/questions:

[*] Actually, we once thought of a T-wall to somewhat "hide" the WC, but somehow can't find a solution for it?!
[*] Would it make sense to swap bathtub/shower to avoid walking straight into the (solid) shower wall when entering the bathroom?
[*] An alternative would be to make the shower wall only half-high?!
[*] Does any other arrangement make sense? Also happy about "crazy" ideas.

Thanks in advance!!!

P.S. Where the sink is currently marked, of course a larger double washbasin will be installed.

I would place the sink on the left-hand wall of the plan. Straighten the wall of the bathroom door. Half-height privacy screen for the toilet. Shower and bathtub interchangeable.

Good solution, !
Lying in the bathtub, I think it's better not to look at the toilet. Partition wall at 1.1m and you still sit somewhat “privately” if someone storms in.

Yes, the right option also seems better to me regarding a walk-in shower.

Thank you, many thanks for your effort, even with a drawing right away, we like it very much.

The "problem" with the straightened wall is that we can no longer get into the bedroom that way, see photo below. The bedroom door also can’t be lowered any further because then the wardrobe wouldn’t fit behind the bedroom door... But shifting the door down a bit is possible.

How wide should such a washbasin with furniture be at least? Currently it would only be 1.40 m, which seems too "narrow" to us, considering that otherwise there would be no place to put a bathroom cabinet anywhere else?!
