My condolences. Some politicians believe that going too far is progress. Avant-garde should be voluntary, and ecology should not be misused to keep average earners away from home ownership.

If misconception is not your motive, I am glad. It is indeed a common misconception that a single-family villa can be built even cheaper with a gable roof.

I can actually recommend pencil with graph paper for you, maybe also suitably prepared cutouts in the size of each piece of furniture. We have sometimes put together different "scenarios" with height, etc., at home from whatever we had. I can live with all sorts of things, but I try to prevent making an unconsidered blunder that would bother me permanently. Maybe you can also go to a furniture store and clarify there (independently of the brand) in which constellation of furniture you want to live (in the living room). Your explanation of your individual way of life appeals to me (not because I want it the same way), because it obviously exactly reflects your own life and not what others do elsewhere.

So you are saving yourselves €130,000 through this subsidy?

Well then I would also plan this area now so that it comes as close as possible to my original wish. If you spend that much money on this hobby, it should be planned as best as possible (distances, seating position, toilet, water connection for a small bar, acoustics, or similar).

For such rather rare cases, I wouldn’t plan a separate room; that can also be done sometimes in the TV room, in the still free child’s room, or also sometimes in the living room.

I suspected that summer would be rather excluded there. Nevertheless, I recommend that you precisely and critically examine the mode of operation and circumstances beforehand, because a number of people, including myself, consider that to be a somewhat nonsensical contradiction. Recently, advocated for this and also explained her individual usage here understandably and in detail, which I always appreciate. But that also shows that you really have to think about how it interacts with underfloor heating and clarify whether you want that yourself as well.

I understand that, although for cost reasons I always rather advocate for a carport; however, I meant the driveway width, which I read was 5m. Obviously, you don’t have too tight a budget, because otherwise I would fear that in the interior area, namely where you actually live, quality and comfort might become strained if you are rather generous beforehand. I would find that unfortunate, because for my part I always like to experience comfort directly and nearby, and therefore I’m reluctant to spend unnecessary money on garages, fences, etc.

That is, of course, not universally valid; I can only tell you how we have it here, and it does not represent a visual disadvantage for us.

To be sure: I wrote "seat height," i.e. measured from the floor. Such a desired window naturally also needs sufficient "seat depth," and that is exactly the problem, that it protrudes into the room.

I would do it like this: Whether to arrange the bathroom without the T is another question.

Here is an older picture, please ignore the decorations, there was still stuff from winter standing around. 3m wide, 40cm high, 30cm deep windowsill.

If you meant something like that, that's how it is with us.

About the double garage: If you don’t drive vintage cars, convertibles, or other collectibles, the car doesn’t need a garage. In winter, a parking heater is useful. You start driving with clear windows in the warm vehicle. With a tight budget, I always find the priority on a double garage set way too high. About the furnishing program: Just as suggested by : There is nothing better than model building. Two-dimensional with cut-outs on squared paper is already quite suitable. Don’t make the model too small. By the way, quick model building is also preferred in some companies as the first evaluation of computer simulation, because you recognize benefits and mistakes much faster. Home office: If you only occasionally work at home and actually don’t want an office there, don’t build an office room either. That is easy to solve.
