I would reconsider the window front on the ground floor so that you can also have a view of the garden from inside. The given arrangement looks splendid from the outside, but from the inside you don't have a great view, since there are always walls between the windows :(

Just ask your architect if they have their guest toilet right next to the front door, probably not, provided it was their own design.

We spent a very long time today in the living room again, I personally find the window front on the ground floor really great, both from inside and outside.

Mmmh, now I'm not really any wiser. Maybe you could simply tell us the reason, that would be quicker?

I am also wondering. There is an argument against it (keyword "welcome toilet"), but in times of ventilation systems and many floor plan solutions that is not conclusive. The argument in favor is actually superior, but it depends on the specific planning and the wishes of the builders.

Since you already want to enjoy toilet noises in the bedroom, I have a bad suspicion about what might be behind the requirement.

It's a pity that OP and the thread disappear into oblivion; after restarting the thread, please repost.

Regards

Now it’s backfiring: THE architect, let’s take guidelines and basics of architects (one learns this, another that, architecture also depends on generations and trends) says that you shouldn’t place a toilet by the front door because… because the noises + smells escape to the outside through the window. It has nothing to do with the door on the inside! @flamingo: it has to do with the window and the resonating body toilet bowl! By the way, very few architects plan an open kitchen… also because of the smells :)
