And that was supposed to be humor on your part, nonetheless presenting this draft? - That wouldn't be worth the money for the planning to me. By the way, I write here (and elsewhere) as an advisor and not for entertainment.

My greatest thanks is when my expression of opinion gives a useful impetus.

No, it was not meant as humor on my part to "nevertheless" (?) present this draft. I am not responsible for your thin skin, you should not hold it against me if I take your exaggerated formulations humorously. How about entertaining advisor? The thanks was sincere. No hard feelings.

Of course, no hard feelings. Thick-skinned people are never finicky. After your confession of liking my humor, I allowed myself the logical conclusion that you have been following my posts here for a while. That, in turn, would hardly be possible without anticipating that such a draft of mine would fail with the drums and trumpets of an entire military band festival. However, to provoke my humor alone, I would find that a bit too much of an honor, despite all self-conceit. I’m happy to be an entertaining advisor. But it has also been and still is seriously meant on my part that the only gratitude that pleases me for my advice is when it is useless (of course not synonymous with “followed,” because as a Rhinelander, I love pluralism, i.e., EVERY single opinion—even if it’s mine alone—is boring). However, I am (still ?) convinced that a Villa Kuntergrau belongs in an architectural-philosophical discussion, but not in the neighborhood of white-anthracite replacement villas or similar uniformities. I prefer to side with Brandt and Bahr (“change through rapprochement”), and the latter is certainly not a meteorite impact. I also see the principle of appropriateness as applying to the discourse of the various architectural styles. So don’t throw your house as a homage to Molotov into your street ;-)

Oh, I’m not that strict about it – the new development near our village has two such outliers in the Swedish style, and that makes the area very charming. You can also overlook the Tuscan villa in the postmodern style. And the white-anthracite-colored mice.

That reminds me that I should go hiking there again, where (Neo)sciliar might by now have finished his wooden house ...

I hope you were able to enjoy your hike and didn't fall for the charm of the Massa Haus wannabe urban villas in stylish white with anthracite-colored windows before you were surprised behind the transformer house by the admittedly polarizing beauty of the extraordinary. But you wanted to hike – from one house to another.
