I don’t see a multi-generational house or a functioning overlap of the levels (stairs) I also don’t see a possible separation on the ground floor. Since the questionnaire is only half filled out, I simply assume that all of this is more or less not meant seriously. If the goal is to have no idea about the house costs, I would suggest giving up about 1/3 of the living area or the basement and/or the attic floor so that the costs are in proportion. After all, there are always some extra square meters everywhere that are nice but not necessary (if you have to hide your budget ;) ) And what does it say about the floor area ratio?

Maybe describe why you are planning like this? Is it going to be rented out later? The parents moving in, the children, or home care? And why plan a >300 sqm house with a pool and draw it yourself? With that budget, I would be at the architect faster than my son in front of Paw Patrol after daycare. How exactly do you imagine the separate entrances? And what needs to be more compact and why?

Then write that as well. You have a questionnaire, there is an option at the bottom to explain why this and that is the way it is. But you didn’t. Your statements are rather empty. "Utility room must have a door to the outside" very great... The forum from a beginner post with instructions as well. There is a handout here, and the future builder plans himself, but cannot answer the simplest questions. A multi-generation house is a house where several generations (retirement unit, seniors and young parents with children) live under one roof in separate units. Maybe you use the word incorrectly, but you should be a bit careful with criticism of the forum, after all you want something from it. I don’t believe that you want to hear criticism here. You don’t question your design, that’s how it reads.

those who are used to living alone as a family on >300 sqm will not bring strangers into the house in old age. I have never experienced that, but I know more than enough older couples who live together on 300 sqm and precisely do not create the potential apartments. For that, I know many who have sold the house in old age and bought stately apartments from it.

So my former house was such a multi-generational house and therefore I can tell you that there is no suitable template for it and it definitely depends on the individual circumstances, wishes, and needs of EACH of the generations involved. However, you have not presented such things so far, which is why you are also getting answers that you clearly do not like. I would write something similar to you about this, so I will leave it at the repeated suggestion to present your circumstances, intentions, budget, etc. The more detailed the information, the more helpful the answers! The answers are therefore only the grades for your preliminary work; where should the desired "depth" come from with a shallow shot template.

We want to at least enable one child to stay living in the house. This is certainly not predictable, but my wife and I have experienced the same and we want to continue it that way. Why do I plan myself? Because I enjoy it, I have the desire to create my own home, and architects are not magicians either.
