Honestly, I don't understand how the plot is supposed to be shaped here. Sections are missing, and there is no site plan from which one can derive the elevation points of the plot. If I interpret the explanations somewhat correctly, then the planned terrace can only be realized by filling up the terrain or it will have to stand on stilts.
We want to commission the surveyor soon. At the moment, we have only measured 5 points ourselves, as can be roughly seen from the one picture above.
I also see the path from kitchen to terrace, when children are in the garden and quickly want something to drink, while you are sitting on the terrace eating or drinking or having a nice barbecue evening.
For that, there is a huge area in the living room for an extendable table, and how else should it be used?
Have you ever thought about the option of combining dining and cooking and separating the living area with sofa and TV to make it a quiet zone?
We have already considered implementing an open kitchen area, but we probably find it more comfortable within the family to keep them separate due to several floor plans with separate kitchens (smell, noise, etc.). Nevertheless, I agree that the path from the kitchen to the terrace is rather suboptimal.
One option would be to create the door in the wall where a small table was currently planned in the kitchen and to close the original door. The new door could perhaps also be a sliding door in order to separate the room after the "work" is done.
We would like to realize dining and living areas together because for parties, enough seating (sofa, dining table) is available within one room. If the dining table was in the kitchen, the "groups" would be separated from each other. Also, we find it cozier to eat in the living/dining room than in the kitchen.
Would the above-mentioned solution be more practical than the design in the opening post?
In a house, it is an advantage to have the garden within easy reach.
There are several reasons for this: either when cooking, to get herbs or vegetables, during the day to watch the children in the garden and, if necessary, to intervene quickly if something has happened. Or they want to go to the bathroom, get water, something to play with 20 times in one hour.
Or in the evening, when sitting on the terrace and grilling, the fridge should be easily reachable. Ultimately, in good weather, you use the terrace furniture as a substitute for the dining table anyway: the terrace and the garden become a living space, a living room. Besides meal preparation, it fits well to care for the terrace in any free minutes, sweeping, watering plants, snipping flowers... Therefore, you should be able to quickly reach the garden and terrace from the "workplace in the house", usually the kitchen.
If you plan the kitchen open to the dining area, the access from the dining room is usually sufficient. You planned the current rarity of a closed kitchen. Then it only makes sense to plan a terrace access there as well. Because if you have to go outside, you need about 10/20 seconds longer to even reach the terrace here. I see the classic apartment living room here, only instead of a balcony, there is a terrace. Please engage with life in a house.
I also do not see the slope reflected in the sections at all.

We have tried to consider this and make it more practical in the above-mentioned version.
In the current floor plan, an additional terrace door in the kitchen area would significantly reduce the kitchen size because the wall towards the garden side would disappear.
I also do not see the slope considered at all in the sections.
I have tried to explain above how we imagine it. We want to divide the terrace/garden into 2/3? levels. Both garden and terrace need to be filled and are to be retained at the end with L-stones. We want to involve a garden/landscaping professional soon.

Floor area ratio: 0.4
Plot coverage ratio:
Building window, building line, and boundary: 3m each to the outer plot boundary
Edge development

Maximum ridge height: 9.5m
Number of floors: 2 full floors possible
Roof form: hipped roof
Client Requirements
Building type: city villa
Floors: 2
Number of people: 5, 3 children's rooms
Room requirements EG: kitchen, bathroom, living room, office, hallway, utility room
Room requirements OG: 3 children's rooms, 1 bedroom, bathroom, hallway
Office: study with use as a guest room
Garage: double garage (7x7)
House design
Who designed it: ABY / Architects Röpke
What do you like? Why? Upper floor
What do you not like? Why?: layout kitchen/living/dining room, too large paved area in front of the house
Preferred heating technology: heat pump
For us, the main route between kitchen and terrace with grill shifts life outside in summer.
The path is too long and unnecessarily complicated with 2 corners and 2 doors plus terrace door.
Does the floor area ratio add up?
House, garage, terrace, and a huge paved yard are large portions of the plot.
The floor area ratio should fit.
We don't yet find the huge paved yard optimal. We have the condition that we would like a double garage and due to the 25m long dead-end street, we would like to turn around in the yard so that we don't have to reverse about 25 meters.
Hence the turning hammer. The options are limited because of the 7x7m garage?!?
Are there more optimal solutions for this?
Furthermore, we wanted 1 meter distance beside and behind the garage so that work can be done on the garage there without consulting the neighbors.
The children will definitely like it if they can walk around the entire house.
Thank you very much for your support.
