Thank you for the hints. We will contact the architect and ask. Perhaps his solution for that looks completely different.

I’m just imagining a pipe sticking out of the wall above the front door and every tenth visitor having bad luck.

This will be sporty with the required slope; I estimate that the toilet will have to swap places with the shower. That does not require a bend, but 85° elbows. I find the location of the bathroom on the upper floor borderline and do not understand why the planner did not offer a more practical alternative here. Rhineland greetings

The washing machine on the upper floor (does it really fit in the small room?) also needs to be drained. I would have the concept explained to me first before additional boxed-in areas are planned during the shell construction.

I also really like the entrance! Personally, I wouldn’t install a shower on the ground floor if there is no other room there (you only have living/dining down there, no guest room or anything similar). This shower will have to be cleaned later, but will never be used (and costs money upfront). But it could be different for you...

I think on the upper floor, the bedroom and bathroom could also be swapped. The orientation wouldn’t change much, and the drainage would be simpler. The children’s rooms are of course nice.

I also see the question of furnishing the living room; you just have to try a few things out (cut out existing furniture to scale and move it around on the printed plan).

Coffee grinders are square?!

That probably wouldn't work with the doors. More likely, you could swap the entrance area and the bathroom.

Yes, such a "cut-open ground floor" with a platform as an entrance area looks great and is practical. I would always plan it again.
